Not long ago were we, as Blacks, beaten, killed and discriminated against just because of our skin color.
Now less than 50 years from then do we have the audacity to discriminate against another minority.
We of all people should understand what if feels like to be ostracized from society
But instead of easing the plights of this group we induce them.
We hop on the bandwagon and even worse we often lead it.
We use words in a book to justify our actions, we quote them as if they were our own.
Ironic how this same book kept us enslaved for hundreds of years and justified the mistreatment of our race since the day the Christian man laid eyes upon us.
Funny how that works.
We are more willing to tear people down based on their differences than making an effort to build bridges and offering a helping hand.
So if you choose to live your life by this book then please stop being a contradiction and follow it in its entirety.
Stop picking and choosing which things you want to abide by and those that you don't.
Remember the past, your past, and how groups were brutalized, hated and destroyed just for the simple fact that they were different from the "normative."
Like the pot calling the kettle black.
This is one of the reasons why ignorance perturbs me.
